My directing work

Editing and directing for me, have always worked side by side. For this reason, I also offer a film directing service with a focus on performance, lifestyle scenes and comedy. I'm experienced with directing actors and celebrities with the ability to get the right performance. I love to collaborate with other creatives and always aim to service my clients' core idea and messaging. 

[MOVIE SEASON INTRO x4] MOVIE MAYHEM | SBS VICELAND

Movie Mayhem with Marc Fennell were doing a season of kung-fu and martial arts movies, so I directed and edited this intro to set the mood for the viewers.

[TV COMMERCIAL] JBRONZE | FISH MEDIA

To help model Jennifer Hawkins launch her first new self-branded product, I directed and edited this commercial with the aim to show off her glowing tan and healthy lifestyle.

[MOVIE SEASON INTRO x4] MOVIE MAYHEM | SBS VICELAND

For a season of heist movies on SBS Viceland, I directed and edited a series of intros from my idea of having Marc explain a movie to a security guard who catches him red-handed. The title sequence for Movie Mayhem is a concept I wrote with Damian McDermott and was designed and animated by SeeGee Studio. It won a Silver Promax for best title sequence.

A commercial I directed and edited for Ease-A-Cold. I was also the puppeteer of the bunny which I enjoyed way too much.

[TV INTRO x5] SOUTH PARK'S MOST CONTROVERSIAL | SBS2                          MATURE CONTENT

For a season of controversial South Park intros SBS, couldn't get the host Marc Fennell, so we animated him. I directed and edited the animation with the goal to make it look like Marc is actually in South Park. Animated by Bailey Sharp.

SBS Television commissioned this video to announce the Australian Eurovision judges. I co-directed with Adam Khamis.

[SOCIAL VIDEOS x10] THE JESTERS | FOXTEL

For the Mick Molloy Foxtel comedy TV series, The Jesters, I created a series of spin-off video content for social media channels. My work on the series was nominated for a Gold Promax for Best Integrated Media Campaign. Here's one of the videos I directed for it that follows the series character Zac (Andrew Ryan) on the trail of one of his conspiracy theories.

[TV COMMERCIAL] WIRES | WARD6

Working with producer Trish Knapp and agency Ward6, I directed this little scene highlighting the increasing number of wild animals found in inner-city locations and the need to get them back where they belong. Yes, the koala is real and he was fabulous.

I travelled around Australia to direct and edit this TVC series of five real customer stories for Allianz.

I directed a season of Terry Gilliam movie intro's for Movie Mayhem. For that extra Gilliam look, I created a wall of animated loops for the set and then, while editing, I had fun animating in Gilliam's trade-mark style.

For a Fearless Females movie season, the EP's thought it would be wise for us to feature guest host Jan Fran. I directed this studio shoot and edited the season of 4 intros.

Celebrity chef Pete Evans apparently uses deodorant in the kitchen... Here's a spot I directed for Norsca. I particularly enjoyed creating the impression of the busy kitchen. Pete also doubled as our caterer that day and it was the best on-set catering ever.

[TV PILOT, HALLOWEEN SPECIAL] SCARIACS | NICKELODEON

I co-created and directed this sci-fi children's anthology for Nickelodeon which they financed and screened as a Halloween TV special. Co-creator/Producer Shane Elsmore.

[SHORT FILM] BOSS ASSASSINS | AFTRS

AFTRS invited me in to make a film with their cinematography and production design students so they could practice working with a professional director and get creative. Giving me total creative freedom, I wrote and directed this dark film to give the students something to sink their teeth into.

I absolutely love directing and also focus on screen editing.
